The Red Background helps us to remember that Jesus' blood was shed that we might be cleansed from our sins.
The Circle signifies God's encircling love.To remain in that Circle we must forgive and accept other. To keep that Circle complete we each have a place in it, being loyal to God, to His church and to one another.
CROSS
The Cross is central, reminding us of Calvary, where the Lord Jesus, the Son of God, died as a sacrifice for our sin. Jesus is living today to cleanse and enter any heart, to give new life, and daily victory over sin.
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
LAMP
The lamp reminds us of Psalms 119:105. "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Therefore we must read, learn and hide God's word in our heart.
The Lamp also reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World. When Jesus, who is the light, enters our lives, He shows us the sin that will hinder Him using us. Sins of envy, pride, unbelief selfishness, etc. Only when Jesus has first place in our lives will men see our good works and glorify the Father in heaven. A lamp without oil is of no use. We are of no use without Jesus dwelling in us.
CROWN
Every chief has an area over which he rules. Every King has a Kingdom. the Lord Jesus is King of kings. His spiritual Kingdom is being built now. To enter it we must be born again (John 3:7).
Jesus was born as King (Matthew 2:2). Jesus was crucified as King (John 19:19). Jesus is coming again as King. He shall reign for ever and ever. His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom (Daniel 4:3). This same Jesus will come. If we want to be ready we must have this new life and abide in Him. Then He has promised we shall not be ashamed (1 John 2:28). jesus must be King in our lives.
TORCH
Before the Lord Jesus returned to heaven, He commanded His disciples to be witnesses to Him at home, further afield and to the uttermost parts of the earth. He wants us to be witnesses to Him too. The torch reminds us of God the Holy Spirit who is given to us to glorify the Lord Jesus. He gave the disciples the power to witness to others and made them workers together with Him to bring others to Jesus as Saviour. The Holy Spirit is given to us today(John 14:16). he helps us to grow more like Jesus (Galatians 5:20). He will give us the power to witness and glorify Jesus in all that we do.
